J&K Police Seize Assets Worth Rs 51 Lakh from Drug Peddlers in Rajouri

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached properties worth Rs 51 lakh belonging to three notorious drug peddlers in Rajouri district. The assets, including vehicles, were acquired through illegal narcotics trade. The police have arrested the suspects and busted a cross-LoC smuggling racket with the help of locals.

In a significant crackdown, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday attached properties valued at Rs 51 lakh, owned by three notorious drug peddlers in Rajouri district.

The attached assets, which include three vehicles, were confirmed to have been acquired through illegal means and proceeds from the narcotics trade, officials said.

According to the police, a team from Nowshera police station seized a dumper truck, a Mahindra Pickup Bolero and a motorcycle, collectively worth Rs 51 lakh, belonging to Sukhvinder Singh, Naveen Kumar, and Davinder Kumar—all residents of Sehar Makri, Bhawani.

The operation was conducted under the NDPS Act following a massive narcotic recovery and the busting of a cross-LoC smuggling racket with local assistance in the Sehar Makri area of Nowshera.
