J&K Police Chief Vows to Eradicate Foreign Terrorism with Strict Measures

Director General of Police RR Swain of Jammu and Kashmir emphasized a rigorous stance against locals supporting foreign terrorists under the harsh Enemy Agents Ordinance. He expressed confidence in eliminating terrorism in Jammu within months and underscored collaborative efforts with central forces and local defense guards.

In a decisive move, Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police, RR Swain, announced stringent measures against locals found supporting foreign terrorists. Swain stated that such individuals would be prosecuted under the much stricter Enemy Agents Ordinance, which carries severe penalties including life imprisonment or death, surpassing the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Swain confidently asserted that Jammu would be cleared of foreign terrorists within the coming months. Speaking to reporters, he highlighted that specialized agencies like the National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency have been involved in investigating recent terror attacks, ensuring thorough probes and accountability.

Swain emphasized that foreign mercenaries, who aim to destabilize the region and instill fear, would face kinetic actions, reinforcing the commitment to eradicate terrorism. Collaborative efforts with village defense guards, special police officers, and central armed forces were highlighted as pivotal in this fight against foreign terrorism.
