TSPC Members Arrested in Jharkhand Crackdown

Seven members of the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), a splinter group of CPI (Maoist), were apprehended by the police in Jharkhand’s Latehar district. The authorities recovered firearms, cartridges, mobile phones, cash, motorcycles, and documents from them. All seven were subsequently jailed.

In a significant crackdown, seven members of the proscribed Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), a breakaway faction of CPI (Maoist), were apprehended on Monday in Jharkhand’s Latehar district, according to a police officer.

The operation led to the seizure of two country-made handguns, six cartridges, four mobile phones, Rs 5,000 in cash, three motorcycles, and several documents. The police believe these items were used to aid their militant activities.

Latehar Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan confirmed that all arrested individuals were sent to jail after being detained from Ichabar under the Sadar police station area.
