Pune Police Crack Down on Drug Use in Bar, Detain Two

Pune police have detained two individuals from Mumbai connected to drug use at a local bar. A viral video showed the suspects with a drug-like substance at the L3 bar, which operated beyond legal hours. Authorities have already made multiple arrests and initiated several investigations.

Pune police have detained two individuals from Mumbai linked to alleged drug use at a local bar, a top official revealed on Tuesday.

The duo appeared in a viral video with a drug-like substance, capturing significant attention. The video, purportedly from the Liquid Leisure Lounge or L3 on Fergusson College Road, depicted youths with the substance.

According to the police, the bar operated until 5 am on Sunday and sold liquor beyond the permissible limit of 1.30 am. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated that the two detainees were seen in the viral video. Previously, eight people, including an event organizer, were arrested, and four police officers were suspended for allowing the bar to operate beyond legal hours. Likewise, six L3 waiters were arrested for violating liquor licensing regulations. Samples from the L3's toilet were collected to test for narcotic substances.
