Thane Police Crack Down on Drug Network: Rs 18.90 Lakh Worth Charas Seized
Thane police in Maharashtra have arrested three individuals, one from Prayagraj, and seized charas worth Rs 18.90 lakh. The Anti Extortion Cell conducted the arrests between June 14 and June 21, recovering large quantities of the drug. An offence under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.

The Thane police in Maharashtra have successfully dismantled a drug network by arresting three individuals, including one from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, and seizing charas valued at Rs 18.90 lakh, an official stated on Wednesday.
The Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) of the Thane police's crime branch made these arrests between June 14 and June 21. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shivraj Patil disclosed in a press conference that a tip-off on June 14 led the police to Pipeline Road, where they apprehended Anilkumar Srimukhlal Prajapati (42) carrying charas worth Rs 17.20 lakh.
Further interrogations revealed that the drugs were sourced from Arjunkumar Jokhulal Prajapati (38) in Prayagraj. Following his arrest on June 20, another accomplice, Shyambabu Pralhad Saroj (51), was detained in Navi Mumbai with 170 grams of charas. All suspects face charges under the NDPS Act.
