The Kerala Police affirmed on Friday that no evidence indicates any individuals receiving leaked Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) question papers, quashing rumors spread via social media.
Through a statement by the State Police Media Centre (SPMC), the authorities cautioned candidates against falling for such fraudulent schemes or transferring money to obtain the question papers. Investigations have been ramped up concerning the social media claims of question papers and answer keys being on sale.
Strict legal measures will be taken against anyone attempting to tamper with the examination process, the police warned. Furthermore, police assured that all social media platforms are under continuous scrutiny.
It's crucial for graduates of MBBS from abroad aspiring to practice in India to clear the FMGE, managed by the National Board of Examinations. The City Cyber Crime Police in Thiruvananthapuram lodged a case on Thursday against groups advertising the exam papers for sale on Telegram, marking the first such case under the state's Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act of 2024.
