Yemen's Houthi rebels have reportedly targeted a Liberian-flagged tanker, Mount Fuji, in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This comes as authorities recognized the rebels' longest-range strike on a U.S.-flagged vessel.
The attack, occurring south of Mocha, resulted in no damage or injuries, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations center. The vessel continues its voyage to the next port.
This incident follows an increased number of attacks in the Red Sea corridor since November, linked to the Israel-Hamas conflict. The U.S. Central Command revealed the destruction of two Houthi aerial vehicles and one surface vehicle on Wednesday.
