U.S. President Joe Biden announced a new security package for Ukraine in a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday. The announcement came during the NATO summit in Washington.
'We will stay with you, period,' Biden assured Zelenskiy ahead of their bilateral discussion.
Zelenskiy indicated that their conversation would address strategies to achieve a just and lasting peace with Russia, and he advocated for a second peace summit this year. A prior summit, excluding Russia, was held in Switzerland last month.
