Actor Gaurav Bakshi Granted Conditional Bail in Goa

Actor Gaurav Bakshi has been granted conditional bail by a Goa court after allegedly restraining a state minister by blocking his car. He must report to the police station for the next eight days and is restricted from visiting the Revora panchayat in North Goa district.

Actor Gaurav Bakshi was granted conditional bail by a court in Goa on Friday after being arrested for allegedly restraining a state minister by blocking his car. The Judicial Magistrate First Class in Mapusa approved the bail for Rs 15,000 with a surety of the same amount, according to Bakshi's lawyer.

Bakshi is required to appear at the Colvale police station for the next eight days and is prohibited from visiting the Revora panchayat in North Goa district, where the incident allegedly took place. The police's request to seize Bakshi's car was denied by the judge.

The incident involved State Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkant Halarnkar, whose personal assistant lodged a complaint against Bakshi, accusing him of blocking the minister's vehicle. Bakshi countered with a complaint stating it was the minister who blocked his way. Bakshi was arrested for allegedly restraining a public servant from performing official duties.
