Pune police on Sunday confiscated a luxury car that controversial probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar allegedly used illegally by installing a red beacon light, an official reported.
The Pune Regional Transport Office issued a notice to a private company owning the Audi used by 34-year-old Khedkar during her posting. The registered address belonged to Shivane village in Haveli taluka.
Khedkar stirred controversy by demanding special privileges during her posting and allegedly misused quotas to secure her IAS position. The officer was transferred to Washim district before completing her training. The car has been confiscated for unauthorized use of government symbols, and further investigation is underway.
