NTK Functionary Balasubramanian Hacked to Death in Madurai

A senior functionary of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) party, Balasubramanian, was brutally murdered by an unidentified gang in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday morning, according to local police.

Balasubramanian, serving as the Madurai district deputy secretary of NTK, was on his routine morning walk when he was chased and killed by the attackers, a police official reported.

This assassination follows closely on the heels of the recent murder of Bahujan Samaj Party state chief K Armstrong in Chennai. Police have ruled out political motives in Balasubramanian's case. NTK chief coordinator Seeman condemned the act, urging swift police action and threatening protests if the culprits remain at large. Seeman expressed shock and sorrow over the incident, extending condolences to the victim's family and friends.
