Army Chief Assures Synergetic Approach to Combat Terror in Jammu

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi assured Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha of a synergistic approach by the armed forces and security agencies to tackle terrorism and maintain peace in Jammu. They chaired high-level meetings to discuss strategies for counterterrorism operations and cross-border infiltration prevention.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday assured Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha of a synergistic approach by the armed forces and security agencies to address rising terrorism in the Jammu region and maintain peace and stability.

This assurance followed high-level joint security meetings, which focused on counterterrorism strategies. Attendees included director generals of the BSF, CRPF, J&K Police, intelligence heads, and senior security officials.

The meetings, held at Raj Bhawan and the police headquarters, underscored the need for meticulous, well-planned operations and reinforced the security grid to prevent cross-border infiltration.
