Assam CM Briefs PM Modi on Flood Situation

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss the ongoing flood situation in the northeastern state. Sarma updated the PM on the current scenario and efforts to tackle the problems caused by the floods. The number of affected people has reduced to 95,000 across 11 districts.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday to discuss the prevailing flood situation in Assam.

'Had the absolute privilege of seeking the blessings and guidance of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji today,' Sarma wrote on the social media platform X after the meeting.

During their discussion, Sarma provided an update on the flood conditions in Assam and the efforts being made to mitigate the challenges faced by the affected population.

According to an official bulletin, the flood situation in Assam has shown improvement, with the number of affected residents decreasing to 95,000 in 11 districts.
