Britain announced a new technology security initiative with India on Wednesday, designed to spur economic growth, enhance telecom security, and draw investment in emerging technologies.

The British government detailed that the partnership will focus on critical areas such as semiconductors, quantum technology, and artificial intelligence. "This collaboration will address future challenges, from AI to critical minerals, unlocking mutual growth, fostering innovation, and creating jobs," stated British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, during a visit to India.

Lammy also engaged in discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India's Minister for External Affairs, agreeing to cooperate more intensively on combating climate change. This includes mobilizing financial resources and accelerating partnerships in offshore wind energy and green hydrogen.
