Odisha Assures Continuity of Key Welfare and Transport Schemes
Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, confirmed in the Assembly that there are no plans to terminate state-sponsored schemes. Addressing questions from senior legislators, Majhi reassured the continuity of programs like KALIA and BSKY. Furthermore, Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena clarified that the LAccMI scheme would continue without alterations.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi addressed the Assembly on Thursday, confirming that there are no intentions to halt any state-sponsored schemes, as the Planning and Convergence Department had not received such proposals.
In response to questions from senior legislators Ranendra Pratap Swain (BJD) and Taraprasad Bahinipati (Congress), Majhi assured that crucial schemes like KALIA and BSKY will continue. He advised lawmakers to await details of new proposals in the upcoming budget, to be presented later in the day.
Separately, Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena clarified to BJD member Ganeswar Behera that the LAccMI scheme, offering affordable bus services across Odisha, has no planned terminations. Jena confirmed that no funds were spent on altering bus colors and that the state operates a fleet of 8,902 public transport buses.
