Police Bust Gang Behind Forged Gun Licences

Police in Jammu have uncovered a racket involving forged gun licences, seizing 435 fake documents from an under-construction building. The operation was based on a tip-off involving gun house owner Tirath Singh. A case has been registered at Satwari Police Station, initiating further investigations.

Police officials in Jammu announced on Wednesday that they have dismantled a sophisticated racket dealing in forged gun licences, seizing 435 counterfeit documents during the operation.

Acting on a tip-off, the police targeted Tirath Singh, a prominent owner of multiple gun houses in the region, who was allegedly storing the fake licences in an under-construction building.

The raid took place at Gadigarh near Harward College, resulting in the recovery of the forged documents along with other incriminating materials. Subsequent to the raid, a case has been filed at Satwari Police Station, launching a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
