Man on the Run for Three Years Arrested During Amarnath Yatra

A 28-year-old man, Arun alias Rikki, was arrested while participating in the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. Rikki was on the run for three years after allegedly assaulting and murdering a man named Satender in January 2021. The police charged him and his family with involvement in illegal liquor supply in Delhi.

A 28-year-old man, on the run for three years, has been apprehended during the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Arun alias Rikki from Madipur village in west Delhi, allegedly assaulted and murdered Satender in the Khyala area in 2021. He had been evading arrest by frequently changing addresses.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Satish Kumar revealed that a team was sent to Jammu and Kashmir to apprehend Rikki, who was finally arrested at the Kathua Toll Plaza. Rikki’s family is also implicated in the illegal liquor trade in Delhi.
