Negligence by Power Company Leads to Tragic Electrocution

In Deoli village, a mother and her daughter died due to electrocution after an overhead power line fell on their house. Villagers allege negligence by Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL), having previously requested the pole's relocation. Authorities assured compensation and an investigation into the incident.

A tragic incident unfolded in Deoli village when alleged negligence by Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) led to the deaths of a 50-year-old woman and her 21-year-old daughter. The tragedy struck as a live wire from an overhead power line fell on their house, according to local police.

Authorities have identified the victims as Rajeshbai Sharma and her daughter, Jyoti. Chechat police station SHO Mansiram Vishnoi stated that the electrocution was likely exacerbated by the rainy weather that evening. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Villagers, along with the family members of the deceased, have accused JVVNL of negligence, pointing out that they had previously demanded the relocation of the 11-KV power line pole installed close to their home. JVVNL officials and the local tehsildar promised an investigation and assured compensation to the aggrieved family.
