Tragic Roadside Accident Claims Two Lives in Greater Noida

Two individuals were killed and another critically injured when an unidentified canter truck hit a charpoy they were sleeping on by the roadside in Greater Noida West. The accident occurred around 11:30 pm on Tuesday near Gaur Mall in Bisrakh police station area. Police have registered a case against the unknown truck driver.

Two individuals were killed and another critically injured when an unidentified canter truck struck a charpoy they were sleeping on by the roadside in Greater Noida West, police reported Thursday.

The fatal incident took place at approximately 11:30 pm on Tuesday near Gaur Mall in the Bisrakh police station jurisdiction, according to a senior police official.

Puran Singh (30) from Mainpuri district and Vinod (22) of Budaun district were declared dead at the scene, police confirmed.

Shyam Singh from Hathras district sustained severe injuries and was initially treated at the district hospital before being transferred to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital for advanced care.

''The incident occurred when the canter truck, travelling from the Etehda roundabout towards the service road, collided with the charpoy where the victims were resting,'' the official explained.

''Police have lodged an FIR against the unidentified truck driver. The bodies have been sent for postmortem,'' the official added.
