Autorickshaw Driver Allegedly Abuses 13-Year-Old Boy in Navi Mumbai

The driver allegedly stopped near Vitava petrol pump and abused the boy. A complaint has been filed, and efforts to apprehend the driver are ongoing.

Police in Navi Mumbai are actively searching for an autorickshaw driver accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy in an alarming incident reported on July 23. The minor, a Class 9 student from Mulund, Mumbai, was returning home from his swimming classes in Kalwa when the alleged abuse took place.
The driver reportedly stopped the vehicle near Vitava petrol pump around 9.45 pm and committed the heinous act. The boy was left in shock and later informed his parents, who then approached the police.
A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect. Sub-inspector Rajendra Chitte of Rabale police station confirmed the ongoing investigation.
