IAS Officer N B S Rajput Appointed Principal Secretary to Odisha Governor

IAS officer N B S Rajput has been appointed as the principal secretary to Governor Raghubar Das of Odisha, following his return from central deputation. Saswat Mishra, the current principal secretary, will move to the finance department while retaining his role in the energy department and OSSSC.

The Odisha government has appointed IAS officer N B S Rajput as the new principal secretary to Governor Raghubar Das. Rajput, a 1999-batch IAS officer, has been given this role following his return from central deputation, as stated in a notification released by the state's General Administration and Public Grievances Department on Sunday.

Saswat Mishra, who currently holds the position of principal secretary to the governor, will now take on the role of principal secretary of the finance department. Mishra will also continue with his additional responsibilities as the principal secretary of the energy department and chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).

The reassignments aim to streamline administrative functions and are part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency within its departments.
