Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers' Welfare, and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, convened a meeting with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma at Krishi Bhavan in New Delhi today. The discussion focused on key rural development programs, including the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

During the meeting, Shri Chouhan affirmed the Central Government's commitment to improving housing and infrastructure for the underprivileged in Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the government is dedicated to ensuring that no poor family in the state is left without housing. He reassured that the Central Government is providing adequate funds for these public welfare schemes and expressed confidence that the State Government will utilize these funds effectively.

On infrastructure development, Shri Chouhan highlighted the Central Government's swift action to enhance rural road connectivity under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the Central and State Governments to expedite the construction of rural roads in Chhattisgarh's remote areas.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both central and state governments, including Shri Shailesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development. The discussions underscored a strong commitment from both levels of government to advance public welfare and development initiatives in the state.
