The CBI's counsel, D P Singh, emphasized that Kejriwal's arrest was crucial for concluding the investigation, adding that a final charge sheet has been submitted. Kejriwal's advocate, Abhishek Singhvi, contested the arrest, claiming there was no direct evidence against Kejriwal and categorizing the arrest as preventive.

The CBI's charge sheet names Kejriwal, among others, accusing them of receiving substantial kickbacks in connection with the 2021-22 Excise Policy. The court's decision on Kejriwal's petition against his CBI arrest is pending, with the case continuing to unfold.
