Temple Helper Flees with Over Rs One Crore Donation from Shri Giriraj Temple

Dinesh Chandra, a helper at the Shri Giriraj temple in Govardhan town, Mathura district, has absconded with over Rs one crore in donations, according to police reports on Wednesday.

The temple manager has lodged a police complaint regarding the incident.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Triguna Bisen confirmed that the case revolves around the Giriraj temple in Govardhan. Bisen stated, 'A sevayat (helper) of the temple, Dinesh Chandra, left on Monday to deposit Rs 1,09,37,200 from the donation box into the bank, but he did not arrive.'

After Dinesh failed to return and multiple attempts to contact him proved fruitless, temple manager Chandra Vinod Kaushik filed a case on Tuesday. Police have initiated a search for the accused.
