Odisha Government Confirms Recovery of Missing Resident's Body in Kerala Landslide
The Odisha government confirmed that the body of Dr. Bishnu Prasad Chinara, one of two missing persons from Odisha, was found in a landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. Efforts are ongoing to bring the body back to Odisha. Chinara's wife and a nursing teacher were injured and are receiving treatment.

The Odisha government on Wednesday confirmed that the body of Dr. Bishnu Prasad Chinara, one of the two missing individuals from the state, has been found in the landslide-stricken Wayanad in Kerala.
The landslide, which hit on Tuesday, left two doctors from Odisha, Bishnu Prasad Chinara and Swadhin Panda, missing. Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari announced that arrangements are being made to bring Chinara’s body back to Odisha after completing formalities.
Pujari added that Chinara’s wife, Priyadarshini Pal, and nursing teacher, Sikruti Mohapatra, were injured in the landslide and are currently receiving treatment. He stated that his prayers are with Panda and the two injured women for their safe return. The state's Special Relief Commissioner and local Odia officers are coordinating with Kerala’s disaster management authorities as rescue operations continue.
