The Rajasthan High Court has issued directives to administrative officials in the Udaipur and Salumber districts to ensure uninterrupted operations at the Zawar Mines factory. Justice Dinesh Mehta's court issued notices to prevent disruptions by protesters who had blocked the mine's gates, obstructing entry and exit.
Akhilesh Rajpurohit, counsel for the petitioners, informed the court of the blockade by some individuals who demanded employment, labeling their actions as hooliganism. He argued that most workers at the mines are locals and that the company is actively working to generate more jobs albeit not immediately.
Rajpurohit emphasized that halting mining operations would cause significant financial losses both to the petitioner and the state. The court scheduled the next hearing for August 13.
