Haryana Government Announces Major IAS and HCS Transfers

The Haryana government has issued transfer orders for multiple IAS and HCS officers. TVSN Prasad is appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the state. Other notable transfers include Mani Ram Sharma, Yash Pal, Dr. Shaleen, Amna Tasneem, Ram Kumar Singh, Sangeeta Tetarwal, and Neha Singh among others.

The Haryana government on Thursday announced the posting and transfer of eight IAS and four HCS officers, effective immediately.

TVSN Prasad, a 1988 batch IAS officer, was named the Chief Secretary of the State, according to an official release.

Prasad will also oversee general administration, human resources, personnel and training, parliamentary affairs, vigilance departments, and serve as secretary in charge of plan coordination and Chief Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.

Prasad succeeded Sanjeev Kaushal, who retired on July 31. Prasad was previously acting as the chief secretary during Kaushal's leave period. Other key transfers include IAS officer Mani Ram Sharma as the CEO of Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority and Special Secretary of the home department. Yash Pal is now additional director of consolidation of land holdings and land records, among other roles. Dr. Shaleen will head the tourism department, while Amna Tasneem takes over as managing director, CONFED, and secretary of the State Commission for Scheduled Castes.

Ram Kumar Singh is appointed as municipal commissioner of Ambala, Sangeeta Tetarwal as labour commissioner, and Neha Singh as additional resident commissioner at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.

Among HCS officers, Naveen Kumar Ahuja is assigned as secretary of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, and Virender Chaudhary will serve as managing director of Co-operative Sugar Mills, Shahbad.
