Police in Thane city arrested three individuals in possession of a country-made pistol and four bullets, an official reported.
The arrests and seizure occurred following a tip-off about habitual offenders near a hotel in Retibunder Kalwa. Police laid a trap and detained the trio upon their arrival on July 31.
The suspects, identified as Arvind Sonawane (24) and Ashish Gaikwad (22) from Ahmednagar, and Hasim Harun Khan (23) from Nashik, face charges under the Arms Act and the Maharashtra Police Act.
