Punjab Police Crackdown Yields Weapons, Arrests
Punjab Police conducted a major operation across 10 districts to crack down on drug traffickers, bootleggers, and other anti-social elements. With over 1,100 personnel involved, the police inspected 3,668 vehicles, fined 139, and impounded 12. The operation also led to the arrest of 14 individuals and the seizure of weapons.

Punjab Police on Saturday executed a large-scale operation in 10 districts, meticulously inspecting vehicles to curtail the activities of drug traffickers, bootleggers, and other anti-social elements.
Directed by DGP Gaurav Yadav and coordinated by Special DGP Arpit Shukla, the operation saw 1,100 police personnel manning 91 checkpoints at key entry and exit points across the districts.
Authorities inspected 3,668 vehicles, issuing fines to 139 and impounding 12. The police registered 14 FIRs and apprehended 14 individuals. Patiala police captured a significant haul, arresting a weapon smuggler with four .32 bore pistols. Investigations are ongoing.
