AAP Councillor Faces FIR Over Alleged Forged Caste Certificate

In a recent development, a court has instructed the Delhi Police to file an FIR against AAP Councillor Bobby Kinnar for allegedly using a forged schedule caste certificate. This directive was issued following contradictory reports from the certificate-issuing authority.

Citing the need for a thorough investigation, Judicial Magistrate Sanya Dalal mandated a probe to ascertain whether any offence had taken place. The conflicting reports originated from the office of the Dadri tehsildar, raising many questions around the authenticity of the documents.

The court emphasized that the registration of an FIR doesn’t imply immediate arrest, placing the priority on a diligent inquiry. The case will be reviewed further on August 9, once a compliance report is filed.
