Two individuals were tragically charred to death after a fire erupted due to a collision between a state transport bus and a car in Nashik district, Maharashtra, on Sunday, authorities reported.
The fatal accident took place on the Nashik-Kalwan road. The victims were inside a Baleno car along with three others when the collision ignited a blaze.
"Two out of the five car passengers died in the fire, but three others were safely rescued by police and local responders. Fortunately, all the bus passengers are unharmed," an official stated. The identities of the deceased remain unknown. A case has been registered with Dindori police station and investigations are in progress.
