Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed immense pride over India's remarkable progress in electronics exports, which have now secured a spot among the top three globally. He attributed this success to the innovative spirit of India's youth and highlighted the nation's ongoing commitment to maintaining this upward trajectory.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that India's electronics exports have risen to the third position, surpassing gems and jewelry. This achievement, driven significantly by the increase in Apple iPhone exports from India, was reported in a Business Standard article. The milestone was reached by the end of the April-June quarter (Q1) of the 2024-25 fiscal year.

In response to Minister Vaishnaw's post, Prime Minister Modi praised the accomplishment, stating, "This is indeed a matter of immense joy. India's prowess in electronics is powered by our innovative Yuva Shakti. It is also a testament to our emphasis on reforms and boosting @makeinindia. India remains committed to continuing this momentum in the times to come."
