Cab Driver's Shocking Arrest After Brutal Incident in West Delhi

A cab driver named Rahul has been apprehended after allegedly stabbing a 60-year-old woman to death and injuring her daughter in West Delhi. The violence is said to have been instigated by his mother. Both mother and son have been arrested, and an intensive investigation is underway.

In a disturbing turn of events, police on Monday arrested the mother of a cab driver accused of fatally stabbing a 60-year-old woman and injuring her daughter in the Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi. Officials identified the suspect as Rahul, who, along with his mother, is now in custody.

Rahul reportedly attacked the victims, Veena and her daughter Tanya (35), on July 30. Veena succumbed to her injuries, while Tanya is currently receiving medical treatment. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Vichitra Veer, revealed that the investigation showed Rahul had been making unwanted overtures toward Tanya.

When Veena and Tanya confronted Rahul's parents about his behavior, his mother, Pooja, allegedly provoked him to commit the violent act. Following his arrest on August 4 in the Sapera Basti area, an extensive search operation led to Pooja's arrest. Further investigations, including raids and the analysis of CCTV footage, are ongoing.
