Rajasthan Corruption Scandal: Arrests Made in Industrial Development Bribery Case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Rajasthan arrested three individuals, including District Industries Centre chief manager Sultan Singh Meena, for their involvement in a bribery case. The bribes were allegedly taken to prepare incorrect reports, pass wrong loans, and give undue benefits under industrial development schemes. Over Rs 15 lakh was seized.

Rajasthan's Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested three individuals, including the chief manager of the District Industries Centre in Tonk, on charges of bribery.

According to Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Ravi Prakash Mehrada, Sultan Singh Meena, the District Industries Centre's (Tonk) chief manager, and Ajay Khandelwal, a senior assistant from the District Industries Centre (Bundi), were apprehended with Rs 1 lakh in bribe money.

The transaction took place at Meena's residence, where chartered accountant Jayant Jain was also detained. Confidential information led the bureau to discover that Meena was exchanging bribe money through Khandelwal for falsified reports and unwarranted loans under various industrial schemes. During a subsequent search at Khandelwal's home in Tonk, the bureau recovered over Rs 15 lakh in cash.
