Hindenburg Research Targets SEBI Chair for Adani Scandal Links
Hindenburg Research has accused SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch and her husband of having stakes in offshore funds allegedly used in the Adani money siphoning scandal. Despite SEBI's ongoing investigation, Hindenburg criticizes the lack of progress and transparency, suggesting potential conflicts of interest involving Buch and hidden stakes.
Hindenburg Research has launched severe allegations against SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch, claiming she and her husband have stakes in offshore funds linked to the Adani money siphoning scandal.
The firm alleges that despite ongoing investigations, SEBI shows a surprising disinterest in fully uncovering the intricate web of offshore entities connected to Adani. Whistleblower documents cite that Buch and her husband were involved in the same offshore fund structures allegedly used for dubious financial dealings.
The report highlights that even the Supreme Court has noted SEBI's failure to identify the funders behind Adani's offshore entities. Hindenburg further lambasts the SEBI Chairperson for potentially having a conflict of interest, undermining the credibility of SEBI's investigation.
