Rajasthan Rains: Chief Minister Sharma Orders Swift Relief Efforts

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a meeting to address the rains causing chaos in Rajasthan. He instructed officials to enhance relief operations and close schools in four districts. As heavy rains wreaked havoc in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a crucial meeting with senior officials to assess the catastrophic situation. All schools in four heavily impacted districts have been ordered to shut down on Monday as a precautionary measure.

During the meeting held at the Chief Minister's Office on Sunday, Sharma urged officials to accelerate relief work in the affected regions and adopt necessary safety measures in light of the upcoming weather forecasts.

In response to warnings of heavy rainfall, district collectors in Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Bharatpur, and Dausa mandated the closure of all educational institutions for the day. The chief minister emphasized the formation of joint teams from concerned departments to speed up relief and rescue efforts.

Sharma directed officials to inspect waterlogged areas, ensuring proper drainage and basic amenities such as food, drinking water, and medical supplies. Restoring water and electricity supplies in the hardest-hit areas was deemed a priority.

Additionally, Sharma instructed the state police to stay alert and maintain a high level of vigilance.

The civic bodies were also called upon to diligently work towards preventing the spread of seasonal diseases and issue public advisories to raise awareness among residents.
