A 48-year-old man died after being struck by falling cement bricks at a construction site in Maharashtra's Thane district. The incident took place on Saturday in Ambernath when the victim, identified as Vasant Kushabha Sathe, arrived to deliver the bricks.
As Sathe unloaded the material from his truck, bricks from a nearby construction lift fell on him, resulting in severe injuries. Despite immediate efforts by bystanders to rush him to a nearby hospital, Sathe was declared brought dead by doctors.
The Ambernath police have sent Sathe's body for a postmortem examination and registered the case as an accidental death. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
