Goa Governor Pledges Support for Kerala Landslide Victims

Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai has dispatched a relief vehicle for landslide victims in Wayanad, Kerala. The Governor assured that all necessary assistance will be provided and highlighted national unity in facing the disaster. The NGO, Street Providence Trust Goa, collected the relief materials.

Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai on Tuesday flagged off a vehicle carrying relief materials for people affected by devastating landslides in Wayanad district of Kerala, pledging the state government's unwavering support for the victims.

Speaking on the occasion, Pillai affirmed that landslide-affected individuals would receive all possible assistance, emphasizing the nation's collective effort to aid them. The Governor stressed that the Goa government stands resolutely with the disaster-hit populace of Wayanad, committed to providing the necessary help.

Pillai reassured that the rehabilitation of survivors would proceed without hindrance due to lack of aid. The relief materials for Wayanad’s victims were collected by the NGO, Street Providence Trust Goa. Major landslides had struck Mundakkai and Chooralamala regions of Wayanad on July 30, claiming 231 lives and leaving 118 people missing, according to the Kerala government.
