Army Launches Massive Search Operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur

The Indian Army, joined by local police forces, launched a rigorous search operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district on Tuesday night, according to officials.
Acting on precise intelligence, the operation targeted the Akar forest near Patnitop, aiming to apprehend a group of terrorists. Contact with the terrorists has been confirmed, indicating an ongoing operation.
Security measures had been heightened in the Udhampur district, particularly in the Basantgarh area, for the past week following two previous encounters last Sunday. These encounters occurred in remote forested regions of Nownatta in Kishtwar and Basantgarh, allowing the terrorists to escape. This latest operation aims to bring them to justice.
