In a recent development, a Moscow court has sentenced U.S. citizen Joseph Tater to 15 days in jail for petty hooliganism. The decision was made public on Wednesday, as per a Telegram channel dedicated to monitoring the city's courts.
Earlier, Russian news agency Interfax had reported that Tater was detained on August 12 for hooliganism. Subsequently, he assaulted a police officer, which has led to the opening of a separate criminal case against him.
The incident has garnered significant attention, highlighting the legal challenges faced by foreign nationals in Russia.
