Ukrainian Forces Secure Gains in Russia's Kursk Region
Ukraine's forces have set up a military commandant's office in the occupied part of Russia's Kursk region, advancing 1.5 km in the last 24 hours, according to top commander Oleksandr Syrskyi. The operation, reported to President Zelenskiy, has seen a 35 km incursion into the region since last week.

Ukraine's top commander revealed on Thursday that a military commandant's office has been established in the occupied part of Russia's Kursk region. The development comes as Ukrainian forces advance further into the area, taking up to 1.5 km in the past 24 hours.
In a video published by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Oleksandr Syrskyi, head of the Ukrainian armed forces, reported that Kyiv's troops have pushed 35 km into Kursk region since launching an incursion last week.
