A Delhi court is set to pass an order on August 30 concerning the framing of charges against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in connection with the killing of three individuals during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots at Pul Bangash.
Special CBI judge Rakesh Siyal reserved the order after obtaining clarifications from the involved parties. The judge confirmed, ''There are no further clarifications required. I am reserving the order for August 30.''
The CBI's charge sheet, submitted in May 2023, accused Tytler of inciting a mob that led to the death of three people. A witness claimed Tytler instigated the violence by urging the mob to kill Sikhs. Tytler was granted anticipatory bail last August.
