Karnataka CM Faces Prosecution in MUDA Site Allotment Scandal

Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has granted permission to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the MUDA site allotment scam. Senior advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Kapil Sibal are scheduled to meet Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on August 19, potentially to represent him in a special court for public representatives.

Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge hinted that top constitutional experts would be brought in to tackle the issue, although he did not provide specific names. The chief minister has rebutted the allegations, dismissing them as baseless attempts to discredit him and the Congress government.
