Top BSF Official Assesses India-Bangladesh Border Preparedness

Ravi Gandhi, BSF Eastern Command ADG, reviewed the operational readiness of the India-Bangladesh border during a four-day tour. He evaluated the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System for 24/7 surveillance. Various meetings were held to discuss security challenges, trans-border crimes, and border domination strategies.

Ravi Gandhi, the Additional Director General (ADG) of the BSF’s Eastern Command, concluded a comprehensive review of the India-Bangladesh border's operational preparedness following a four-day tour.

During his visit, Gandhi met with officials at the Guwahati Frontier headquarters to discuss the current security scenario and measures to combat trans-border crimes. Discussions were also held on the challenges pertaining to the border's unique 'char lands' in the Brahmaputra river.

Gandhi assessed the efficacy of the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS), which provides constant surveillance along the border. His review emphasized ensuring that the border remains secure and crime-free.
