Noida STF Busted a Spurious Liquor Factory

The Noida unit of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) uncovered a factory producing spurious 'desi' liquor, arresting four people. A raid in the Surajpur area led to a significant seizure of adulterated liquor. The operation was part of an investigation following a tip-off regarding illegal activities in a UPSIDA site.

The Noida unit of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Monday dismantled a factory manufacturing spurious 'desi' liquor and apprehended four individuals, officials announced.

A senior STF official revealed that a significant quantity of illicit liquor was seized during a raid at the unit located in the Surajpur police station area.

The suspects confessed to selling the adulterated liquor at lower prices through intermediaries at various district liquor outlets. Noida STF Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra stated that the accused had previously operated an illegal manufacturing unit in Bulandshahr district.

Mishra mentioned that the police acted on a tip-off about the factory operating out of a C Block site of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) in Surajpur.

A raid ensued, leading to the arrests of Kamal, Nikhil Soni, Amit Yadav, and Govind Chaurasia, all residents of Kanpur.

During interrogation, it was discovered that the accused sourced 100 percent alcohol/spirit from Rampur district, mixing it with water, color, and essence to produce the adulterated liquor.

Recovered items included 54 boxes of desi liquor pouches of various brands, 16 ATM cards, company holograms, a drum of 100 percent alcohol/spirit, a drum of adulterated liquor, and an auto rickshaw, among other materials.
