Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, the newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff, met with Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh at North Block today, emphasizing the Indian Navy's continued commitment to India's first human space mission, "Gaganyaan," and the deep-sea mission, "Samudrayaan."

The meeting highlighted the deepening collaboration between the Indian Navy and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in executing these critical national missions. Dr. Jitendra Singh acknowledged the Indian Navy's role as the lead agency responsible for the recovery of the crew module for the Gaganyaan mission, which successfully executed the first developmental mission (TV-D1) on October 23. He praised the "Whole of Government Approach" initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has dismantled silos and promoted cross-sector collaboration, driving the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

As the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and other key departments, Dr. Jitendra Singh underscored India's ambitious goals, noting that "the world will witness one Indian in space and another in the deep sea by 2025." He highlighted the Deep Sea Mission, a significant initiative under his ministry, which is being implemented with the support of the Indian Navy, enhancing its submarine capabilities.

The longstanding cooperation between the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the Indian Navy was also a focal point, with Dr. Singh recalling various MoUs and joint efforts that have advanced national interests and benefited humanity. He lauded the transformation of the space sector, particularly the role of private sector participation, as a reflection of the government's forward-looking vision. He also highlighted the recent removal of the Angel Tax on Startups, which has been instrumental in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Jitendra Singh encouraged Admiral Tripathi to further explore collaborations with technology-based startups, noting that the defense sector has already seen significant benefits from such partnerships. He also commended Prime Minister Modi's leadership in prioritizing the Gaganyaan and Deep Sea Missions, both announced from the Red Fort and now nearing significant milestones.

He also acknowledged the development of the NAVIC system by ISRO and reiterated the Navy's commitment to these joint endeavors, which are crucial for national security and scientific advancement.
