Top Security Officials Strategize Coordination in Jammu-Kathua

Deputy Inspector General Shiv Kumar Sharma met Major General Mukesh and BSF IG D K Boora to discuss security and coordination in the Jammu-Kathua region. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation among the forces to ensure better security in hinterland and border villages. Assurances of support were exchanged.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shiv Kumar Sharma on Tuesday met with General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the Tiger Division, Major General Mukesh, to discuss the security situation in the Jammu-Kathua range, according to officials.

Having taken charge as the DIG of the Jammu-Samba-Kathua range on Friday, Sharma is actively engaging with the heads of Army, BSF, and other security forces to bolster coordination between the police and these entities.

During the meeting, Sharma and the GoC discussed several security-related issues, including the safety of hinterland and border villages. General Mukesh assured full support to the police forces in their endeavors. Additionally, DIG Sharma also held discussions with BSF Inspector General D K Boora, who pledged complete cooperation along the Jammu-Kathua borderline.
