Ukraine Monitors Belarusian Border Amid Stagnant Yet Persistent Threat

Despite not observing Belarusian personnel or equipment near its border, Ukraine remains vigilant to the ongoing threat it perceives from Belarus. This cautious stance follows Ukraine's foreign ministry urging Belarus to withdraw significant forces and equipment from their shared border.

Ukraine has reported no movements of Belarusian personnel or military equipment near its border but is mindful of an ongoing threat, according to Ukrainian border guard spokesman Andriy Demchenko on Tuesday.

“We ... do not record the movement of equipment or personnel ... in close proximity to the border, but this direction in general still remains a threat to us,” Demchenko stated on national television.

His comments came two days after Ukraine's foreign ministry requested Belarus to withdraw what it described as significant troop and equipment presence at their frontier.
