Mother Allegedly Attacks Son Over Mobile Phone

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a woman allegedly attacked her 13-year-old son with a sickle when she found him using her mobile phone. The boy, who sustained a hand injury, filed a complaint leading to an FIR. Police are investigating the incident, but no arrest has been made yet.

A woman in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is accused of attacking her 13-year-old son with a sickle after catching him using her mobile phone, according to police sources.

The boy, a Class 8 student, lodged a complaint which resulted in the registration of a first information report (FIR) against his mother. Despite the complaint, authorities are still conducting inquiries and the woman has not yet been detained.

The incident reportedly occurred when the boy was reviewing school messages on his mother's phone. Enraged, his mother began hitting him before grabbing a nearby sickle and attacking him. The child sustained a minor hand injury while defending himself and has since been medically examined.

Amit Kumar, in-charge of Simrol police station, informed PTI that the boy is now staying with his grandparents due to ongoing family disputes. Investigations continue with the woman expected to be interrogated soon.
