A delegation led by Kerala MP M K Raghavan met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday to urge the resumption of search operations for the Kozhikode driver and two others missing after a massive landslide in Shirur last month.

The incident on National Highway 66 on July 16 claimed eight lives. MPs and MLAs from Kerala presented a letter requesting deployment of a dredger in the Gangawali River for the search.

Operations had been initially halted due to adverse conditions, with efforts resumed briefly before being halted again. The delegation highlighted the urgency in their appeal to Siddaramaiah.
